I met Katie during her first year of college at SBCC. She modeled at the beach for me on a cold, foggy evening, got soaking wet and covered in sand, and we became best friends after that. Fast forward about 4 and a half years later, and now she's graduating from Loyola Marymount University, down in Los Angeles. She has come so far, both in regards to her talent in screen writing and acting, and also just as a friend. She has always remained so sweet, honest and caring; the LA life might have made her grow some thicker skin, but she is still one of the nicest people I know. I've worked with her dozens of times now, some fashion, some portraiture, some crazy concepts, but something about shooting her grad photos really reminded me that we just click as a team. Working with her always, and I mean ALWAYS, reminds me how much I love photography, and how lucky I am that I get to do it full-time. I can't wait to see where this new path in life (permenantly living in LA starting this summer) takes her, but I can only imagine it will be just as bright, vibrant and beautiful as she is.
Love you, Spud! You're the very best!
